Possible Membership Meeting Schedule Change

In an effort to increase attendance at our monthly membership meetings, and to avoid schedule conflicts with sailing races, events, cruises etc. we are exploring the possibility of changing our meeting dates/times. Currently many of our members have noted that our Saturday meetings conflict with racing, cruising, and other weekend events resulting in lower attendance at our meetings. This has been an issue because without a quorum (25% of our membership present), we often can't make important club decisions. Additionally our Board members are active sailors and are often having to sacrifice attending other races/events to attend meetings. This makes it more difficult to recruit people to Board member positions. To help resolve this issue, a proposal was made to change the meeting time/day to Sunday evenings (or a weekday evening). We will be discussing and voting on this at our meeting on Sat Feb 10 at 10am. Please give us you thoughts and input in the comment box below, or better yet, come to the meeting!
